LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) is a type of corrective eye surgery that uses a laser to reshape the cornea, the clear dome-shaped surface at the front of your eye. The cornea helps focus light rays onto the retina, the light-sensitive layer at the back of your eye.
